Liebster Award

I’ve just been nominated by Gail for the Liebster Award. Definitely excited to share my answers to her thought provoking questions, and also nominate fellow bloggers that you need to follow!

The rules are as follows:

• Link back to the person who nominated you
• Answer the 11 questions given to you by the nominator
• Display the Liebster award logo in your post
• Nominate up to 11 other bloggers with less than 200 followers
• Create 11 questions for the nominees
• Notify all nominees via social media/blogs

Here are my answers to all 11 questions:

If you today was your last day on earth, what would you choose to do and what would your last meal be?
I’m happy playing scrabble with my family, having a drink with my best friends and cuddling with my boyfriend. For food: Bacon, scrambled eggs, fried spam (embarrassing to admit) and garlic rice for breakfast. Pork adobo for lunch. Chipotle guacamole and chips for my afternoon snack, and some awesome teppanyaki for dinner.

What is your absolute favorite thing to do?
I love staying in bed all day watching science YouTube channels or reading a fast pace crime novel. Think Robin Cook or John Grisham.

On your bucket list of places to visit, which country is at the top of the list?
Definitely Italy. It’s so cliché but I really think I can stay in the Vatican City for years. I’ve always been interested in the art and history of that place.

What is one thing that you know now that you wish you knew back then?
Take saving up seriously. I’m really bad at managing money but now that I’m a full time student, I wish I saved up more when I was still employed. It’s hard not having your own money to spend, and having to rely on your parents again.

You climb to the top of a mountain to meet a wise and all-knowing guru, what would be your first question to ask?
If I just climb a mountain, I assume I would be extremely thirsty so my first thought arriving at the guru’s house would be “I need water”. I probably would ask him to spare me some unless he’s one of those people who lives on air. In which case, I would ask what happens to you when you die of dehydration.

Indoor or outdoor?
Depends on the activity! Outdoors as long as I don’t sweat.

City or suburb?
Definitely city but only if it has good public transportation. (I don’t know how to drive.)

If someone told you that you can’t accomplish something, what would you say to them?
“That’s very pessimistic of you to say, but I’ll just prove you wrong.”

Do you like to people watch or be the person who’s being watched?
People watch. You learn a lot by observing.

What is your favorite season?
Spring in Tokyo. Autumn in Chicago. I love weather that’s below 80 F but above 55 F.

You know the saying, “ignorance is bliss.” Would you rather know or not know?
I would rather know! It’s hard to make decisions on what your next action would be without all the facts at hand. “Truth will set you free” and all that.

I nominate these lovely bloggers:

A World Adventure
“You want photography. You got it. You want poetry. You got that too. Random thoughts and babbles? Long project posts? Yes and yes.”

Dita Jessica
“I write about everything relevant to my life, which at the moment is mainly food, travel and a few other bits and pieces. In September 2015, I’m moving to France for a year and I will be exploring other places across Europe too.”

Lisa Tiller
“The first thing to know about me is that I have many hobbies and at the same time, none. I would not say that I am quitter, as I don’t believe I am, I just tend to start things that I may not complete properly.”

The Pretty Pomegranate
“The Pretty Pomegrante was started so that I could share my love for beauty and skincare with the world. I am always testing something new or discovering another hidden gem and I wanted to tell others about my experiences.”

Strange and Wonderful Being
“22 years old. University graduate, blogger, writer, office worker and amateur seamstress in a northern town, with a passion for literature, kittens and tea. I write about my life, the things I love, and anything else I think is important to share with the world.”

My questions:

• If you have one day left to live, what would you do?
• What is your favorite physical attribute about yourself?
• If you are to do something for free for the rest of your life, what would you want to do?
• Is there a documentary or book that really changed the way you thought about something?
• Where are you living right now – the past, future or present?
• Tell me about the best vacation you’ve ever taken.
• If you were going to go to the movies alone, what would be the perfect film for you to watch by yourself?
• What is your ideal life partner like?
• Shark diving, bungee jumping, or sky diving?
• If you have 1 million dollars, what will you do with it?
• Do you have a sweet tooth or a savory tooth?

I’m excited to read about your thoughts on these questions. Please send me a message so I can read it when you post! Hope you share this award with other newcomers. I’m always looking to find new blogs to peruse!
