Every time I travel to a different place, I notice I always develop a nasty break out. This year is one of my worsts, and it’s aggravated by the extreme summer heat. I usually use medication prescribed by my dermatologist. Since I could not find my usual products here, I thought I’d go to the local pharmacy and ask them what they recommend. I ended up buying the following.
AHA+ by Cleansing Research
I use this twice a day, morning and evening. It’s not good in washing a lot of make-up off. I usually wipe my face first with a warm wet cloth. Then, I wash my face with this to remove the excess make-up. It doesn’t dry out my skin as much as other face washes. It supposedly has gentle peeling properties which help diminish the acne scars. So far, it’s been pretty effective in that aspect.
Eaude Muge Toner
This toner is moisturizing and feels cool to the skin! I’m absolutely in love with it. It doesn’t sting like most acne toners. I usually place a bit on a cotton pad and wipe my face gently in circular motions.
PAIR Acne Spot Cream
I spread this cream thinly over the affected area in my face, my cheeks mostly. It helps a lot with calming the redness of the pimples. I also like that it’s not sticky and blends well with my skin. It’s the perfect medication for applying under my make-up.
I have been using these products for a week now, and so far, I have not encountered additional pimple breakouts. Most of the big ones have subsided. I’m looking forward to seeing what my skin looks like in a month! Crossing my fingers that these work out for me.
If you have acne regiments that you would like to share, I’m all ears! I am definitely in need of a good SPF moisturizer that’s not too oily. Do you have any recommendations?
